Carolyn V. Ellis, age 74, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday (November 20, 2014) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond on March 16, 1940 to Leroy & Effie Ellis, and had lived here all her life. She had worked at US Bank. Carolyn loved her church and spent time volunteering at the local food pantry. Survivors include her daughters Vikki (James) Shonkwiler & Kim (Ted) Carr; sisters Margaret (Kirby) Robbins, Janet (Gene) Newman; brothers James (Leda) Ellis, Robert Ellis, Ronald (Sally) Ellis; granddaughters Misha Shonkwiler & Kayleigh (Nathan) Qualley; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. Services for Carolyn will be held on Tuesday (November 25, 2014) at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church (318 National Rd West Richmond, IN 47374). Pastor Ted Chalk will officiate. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.
