Carolyn LaRue, age 83, of Richmond, died unexpectedly Wednesday (March 25, 2009) at her residence. She was born in New Paris, Ohio on April 7, 1925 to Orville and Anna Margaret Grottle Moore and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a graduate of Richmond High School and had worked for Richmond Civic Theatre and for the Salvation Army. Carolyn was a member of the Druids Lodge and the VFW Survivors include her daughters - Kay (Daryl) Napier of Richmond; Reba Absher (Jim) Evans of Pittsboro, Sandra Atwell Marcum of Richmond; sister - Vera Muth of Boynton Beach, Florida; brother Kenneth Moore of Richmond; grandchildren - Robert Napier, Carey (Brian) Folco, Christy (Gary) Rose, Amy (Ronnie) Smith, Michelle (Mario) Simpson, Sarah (Jeremy) Farmer, Melissa (Kenton) Clemens, Emily (Joshua) Young; 16 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Four sisters - Ruth Dickens, Doris Fridlin, Annabelle Atkinson, Helen Dye and two brothers - Harold Moore and Dale Moore, are also deceased. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday (March 31, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Kendall Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio. Friends may call on Monday (March 30, 2009) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
