Carolyn A. Pierson Bennett, age 79, passed away on Friday (September 30th 2016) at Heritage House in Richmond with her family at her side. She was born in Richmond on February 11th 1937 to Frederick Thomas & Arvilla Pierson and had lived here all of her life. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband Fred, and was a 30 year member of Lighthouse Assembly of God. She played bingo, and was an avid dog lover. Carolyn enjoyed listening to sports, particularly the Cincinnati Reds.
Survivors include her sister Linda Lawson; brother Tom Pierson; lifelong friend Kay Lake; nieces Kelley (Musa) Lawson-Khalidi, Angela (Chris) Lyons; nephews Chris (Dana) Pierson, Marc (Kristie) Pierson; great nieces Taylor, Kasey, Emilee, Abigail; great nephews Zain, Zachary and Carter. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 19 years Fred Bennett. Special cousins Bob Coons and Jim Coons are also deceased.
Services for Carolyn will be held on Wednesday (October 5th 2016) at 1 p.m. in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Ralph Holdeman will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
