Carolyn Louise Schwab, age 86, passed away on September 18, 2021 at Reid Health. She was born on April 14, 1935 in Union County, Indiana to John and Hazel J. Mitchell Alvey. After graduating high school, Carolyn attended college where she became a pharmacy technician and worked at the State Hospital. She was a loving sister, mother and wonderful wife. Carolyn was a member of the Church of Nazarene and was a loving, devoted Christian. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children Mike (Lori) Schwab and Christine (Bruce) Walters; siblings Bonnie (Clay) Kenworthy, Phyllis (Michael) Hildebrand, John (Deanna) Alvey, Ruth Haskett and Phillip (Lucille) Alvey; grandchildren Sarah (Edison) Perdomo, Angela (Aron) Arvin, Bruce Walters, Lisa Walters, Tiffany (Mike) Barrett, Ashley (Salman) Yaqub; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Verne Schwab; son Timothy Ray Schwab; siblings Esther Mock and Edna Pittman.

Visitation for Carolyn will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. on Thursday September 23, 2021 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary with Pastor Trevor Stanley officiating a service starting at 1:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in Elkhorn Cemetery.
