Catherine "Katy" Jeanine Bowling, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 14, 2023 while surrounded by her family. She is survived by her six children who made up the entirety of her world, Jerri Lyn Peed (Dickie), Kim Pegg (Lee), Michael Bowling (Tia), Terri Shouse (Gary), John Bowling (Veronica) and Tommy "the baby" Bowling (Janet). In addition to her children, she is also survived by her sister Jerri Mays, brother Bud Mays, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Katy was born on May 27, 1938 to Joseph and Irene Boyer (McClure). She graduated from Richmond High School in 1958 and was married on May 8, 1959 to John D. Bowling (deceased). Katy was saved and baptized at Fairvew Baptist Church. She provided childcare for many area children who still continued to be a part of her life. Katy enjoyed sitting in the sun on her porch, listening to George Jones, visiting with family and talking daily with her mail carrier, Matt.

Katy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Saundra Stringfield, son Randy Bowling and grandson Damon Bowling.

Friends are invited to say a final goodbye at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary on November 20, 2023 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Pastor Allen Henderson will officiate funeral services, beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery.
