Charles William "Bill" Maddox, age 82, passed away on June 12, 2022 at Reid Health. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 7, 1939 to Clarence Cecil and Emerald Catherine (Stolle) Maddox. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1957 and later earned his Associates Degree in applied science. Bill was in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961. He was stationed at Bitburg Air Base as a firefighter. He married Elizabeth Anne Pappano on June 22, 1963 and together they had six wonderful children. He was a member of the American Legion, Harry Ray Post 65 in Richmond and was retired as a sales engineer at DoAll Industrial Supply. Bill enjoyed researching his family's genealogy. He was a true craftsman and took great pride in his work. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by many.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Elizabeth; children Lisa (Kerry) Oliver of Richmond, John Maddox of Richmond, Angela (Eric) Dudas of Newburgh, Indiana, Maria (Andy) Pipenger of Richmond, and Jim (Beckie) Maddox of Bartlett, Illinois; grandchildren Alex (Casey), Alyssa, Alaina and Arianna Dudas and Ryan, Colten, Trey, Brayden and Preston Pipenger; brother Tom Maddox of Surprise, Arizona, nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his daughter Jane Maddox.
Liturgy of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday June 18, 2022 at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Father Sengole Gnanaraj will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. on Friday June 17, 2022 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made in Bills' name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation at
