Charles R. Phillips, age82, of Richmond, died Wednesday morning (February 11, 2009) at Rose Gate Village. He was born in Richmond on August 28, 1926 to Joseph E. and Harriett Bogue Phillips and had lived here all of his life. He was a US Army veteran and a retired 43 year employee of Belden. He was a member of the former Whitewater Lodge #41 IOOF and a member of the Belden 25 Year Club. His wife, Jauneva Jane Phillips, died on November 1, 2000. Survivors include his daughter - Jane (Ronnie) Young of Richmond; grandson - Ty Filby of Indianapolis; step-grandson - Rick Young of Indianapolis; sisters - Edna Taylor of Richmond, Roberta Thomas of Jeffersonville, Indiana; 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday (February 14, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Reuben Dunckel will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
