Charles R. "Dick" Sasher, age 85, of Richmond, died Tuesday evening (February 7, 2012) at Golden Livng Center - Richmond. He was born in Richmond on January 10, 1927 to Charles and Pansy Poston Sasher and had lived here all of his life. Dick was a graduate of Richmond High School and was a veteran of World War II and of the Korean War having served first in the US Navy and then in the US Army. He was an electrician and had worked at Dayton Flexible Products. Dick was an avid bowler and golfer and was a life-long member of American Legion Post 65 and of the VFW. Survivors include his daughters - Cindy Mussoni and Sue Sasher both of Richmond; sons - Brad Sasher of Atlanta, Georgia and Steve (Kathy) Sasher of Venice, Florida; grandchildren - Angie Leitner and Scott Mussoni both of Richmond; great grandson - Kolton Mussoni; step-grandsons - Miles Seekford, SSG stationed in Germany and Brian Seekford of Tampa, Florida; his life-long friend - Robert Wolfe of Richmond and his brother-in-law - Reggie Rhoades. In addition to his parents, two sisters, June Soper and Carolyn Rhoades, are also deceased. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (February 13, 2012) in the Earlham Cemetery Veterans Field of Honor where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
