Chauncey L. Pennington, age 17, passed away on Tuesday (August 19, 2014) at her home. She was born in Richmond on July 21, 1997 to Chad and Tanya Pennington and had lived here all her life. Chauncey loved being around people and enjoyed eating, especially chocolate pudding and her Meme's blueberry pudding, which she called her cake. People referred to her by a lot of different nicknames, but the most precious were the ones given to her by her parents. She was her father's pride and joy and he called her "chunk" and she was her mother's earth bound angel and she called her "the penguin" and her "mashed potato town". Chauncey loved to dance, listen to music, and laugh at "The Bug's Life" movie. Her big smile brightened every room she entered and her laugh was so contagious. She could put you in an amazing mood with just the look in her eyes. Survivors include her parents Chad & Tanya Pennington, siblings Hopelynne Foster, Makcyla Foster, Aynslie Pennington, Keegan Pennington, and 3 dogs that she adored (Hachi, Horacio, and Tito) her grandparents Darrell (Cheri) Johnson & Joel (Theresa) Pennington, several cousins, aunts, and uncles. Services for Chauncey will be held on Monday (August 25, 2014) at 6 p.m. in Riggle- Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Paul Mingus will officiate. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
