Chester John King, Sr., age 90, of Lynn, Indiana died Thursday evening (January 7, 2010) at Saint Vincent Randolph Hopital in Winchester. He was born in English, Indiana on January 11, 1919 to John Clyde and Bessie King. He was a 21 year veteran of the US Air Force having served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a retired employee of Richmond State Hospital and had also worked as a cab driver. Chester was a Life Member and Past Commander of VFW Post 1108. His wife, Lucille King, died on March 1, 1997. Survivors include his children - Christine King of Mississippi, Chester John (Deannie) King, Jr., of Lynn, 2 sisters, 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Two sons, Larry King and Michael King and 10 brothers and sisters are also deceased. Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday (January 14, 2010) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery (Fountain City) where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Friends may call on Wednesday (January 13, 2010) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
