Cleo (Jim) Goodwin, age 63, passed away on Sunday (October 5, 2014) at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Richmond on June 13, 1951 to Harold and Marion Goodwin and had lived here all his life. Jim worked as a general contractor, and was always an avid worker. He was known as the neighborhood confidant with a great sense of humor, and was very giving his entire life. Survivors include his partner Ardene Schoeffler; children Renee (Joey) Crane, Patricia (Chris) Wernimont, Mathew (Marjorie) Goodwin, Theresa (Kim) Gee, Misty (Chris) Hines, Michael Goodwin, Jeremy Goodwin, & Andrea Goodwin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Darryl & Carroll (Butch) Goodwin, and sisters Edith Beaty & Helen Roark. Services for Jim will be held on Friday (October 10, 2014) at 11 a.m. in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Mark Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in Williamsburg Cemetery.
