Obituary

Clinton E. Nugent, age 73 of Richmond passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at his home on Friday, January 26, 2018. He was born in Richmond on August 7, 1944 by Alfred and Bertha Lantz Nugent. He married Barbara Collins Nugent on April 20, 1963 in Richmond, Indiana. Clint loved to work in his garage, from bodywork to paint he just enjoyed to work on cars. Anyone who knew him well knew him as an ornery but humble man. He served as a Deacon at Fellowship Baptist Church and would share his faith with everyone. He enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with family on their annual trip to the Smokey Mountains.

Survivors his wife Barbara; children Terri (Michael) Widau and Joe (Julie) Nugent; grandchildren Kristen (Blaine) Allen, Brice Widau, Nathan Nugent, Katie Nugent; great grandchildren Noah Allen, Lily Allen and Ezra Allen; "partner in crime" Jerry Matheny; brothers Virgil (Susan) Nugent and Delbert (Monica) Nugent; several friends, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Bertha Nugent, sister, Mary, and granddaughter Lindsey Nugent.

Services for Clinton will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastors John Maples and David McQueen will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Clinton's name to Fellowship Baptist Church (655 Salisbury Road South Richmond, Indiana 47374).
