Craig Allison Kraft, 80, died peacefully at his home, June 6, 2012, in Richmond, Indiana. He was born November 16, 1931 to the late Rev. Walter H. Kraft and Ruth Avery Kraft, in Hyannis, MA. Craig is survived by his wife Nancy Hampton Kraft, of Richmond, IN; siblings Quentin G. Kraft of Granville, OH, Allegra L. McIver of Santa Monica, CA, Elizabeth G. Craft of Seoul, South Korea. Also surviving is his first wife and mother of his children, Janet Fittz; daughters Linda Jean Kraft Maguire of Southborough, MA, Kathryn Sue Kraft of Hull, MA, Dean Kraft of Ridgway, CO, as well as five grandchildren. Craig graduated from Mt. Hermon High School, Mt Hermon, MA and then from Tufts College in Medford, MA after serving 4 years in the US Navy. He retired after 24 years as an insurance underwriter with Brewer & Lord in Boston. Craig was a Life Member of CPCU Society. In retirement, he and his wife, Nancy, enjoyed living on the Chesapeake Bay as well as in Richmond where he practiced the fine art of carving wildfowl, for which he received many awards over the years. Craig also enjoyed listening to jazz, working the New York Times crossword puzzles, attending baseball games, and ballroom dancing. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bode, Dr. Fleming and the entire cardiology staff at Reid Hospital in Richmond for their many years of concern, comfort and care of Craig.
