Daniel E. Horrigan, age 86, of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday afternoon (July 3, 2010) at Greenbrier Nursing Center in Eaton. He was born in New Paris on September 7, 1923 to Daniel and Caroline A. Hockwalt Horrigan and had lived in this area all of his life. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty J. Litton Horrigan, with whom he shared 62 years of life. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and was employed by Avco for 39 years. He also worked for Pesco Corporation for 20 years. Dan was an avid sailor and raced y-flyer boats for 45 years. He was a member of First Christian Church (Richmond). His wife, Betty Horrigan, died November 24, 2009. Survivors include his daughter ��" Deborah Arbuckle of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren ��" Mariel Arbuckle, Apryl (James) Napier, Alyssa Horrigan, Daniel Jonathon Horrigan, great grandchildren ��" Kolin Napier and Brenna Napier; daughter-in-law ��" Joanna Horrigan. His son, Daniel M. Horrigan, died on September 1, 2007. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday (July 9, 2010) in First Christian Church. Rev. Amanda Hines will officiate.
