Daniel P. Nocton, age 46, formerly of Richmond, died Monday (September 30, 2013) at his residence in Indianapolis. He was born in Richmond on January 3, 1967 to Lawrence M. "Larry" Nocton and Barbara Ann Miller and had lived in this area most of his life before moving to Indianapolis eight years ago. He was a 1985 graduate of Northeastern High School and was proud to serve in the United States Marine Corp from which he was honorably discharged on January 13, 1988. He had worked for NAPA Auto Parts and was a proud member of the Marine Corp League. Survivors include his sisters, Betsy Nocton of Indianapolis, Mary (Ernest Kim) Owens of Williamsburg; brother, Ed Nocton of Williamsburg; nephews, Nate Nocton, Stephen (Alisha) Owens, Keith (Allison) Owens; niece, Sarah Owens; great nephew, Evan Owens; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (October 4, 2013) in Riggle �" Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Friends may call on Friday (October 4, 2013) from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. At the funeral home.
