Obituary

Daniel E. Welbaum, age 68, of Richmond, died unexpectedly on Wednesday (July 10, 2013). He was born in Richmond on November 5, 1944 to Joyce E. Welbaum and Karrelyne E. (Railsback) Welbaum and graduated with the Class of 1963 from Jefferson High School in New Paris, Ohio. He attended Ohio State University and was the founder and owner of American Financial Services of Ohio. He was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in New Paris. He was also a member of Forum 400, Top of the Table and Million Dollar Round Table, The Association for Advanced Life Underwriting and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He was a Shriner and a Mason. Dan's hobbies included traveling, spending time with family and friends, flying his airplane and boating. He loved to laugh and enjoyed great comedy. His favorite saying was "don't tell them where you got it all". Survivors include his daughters, Rhonda Barket and husband Sam Barket, Carmen Wilson, Amy Jenkins and husband Darin Jenkins; sister, Teresa E. Welbaum and husband Marcus Davis; grandchildren, Danielle Barket, Morgan Barket, Amanda Brandon, Kate Wilson; nephew, Arthur Welbaum-Davis; niece, Julia Welbaum-Davis; special family friend, William "Ace" Dreaden and many other special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jesse Welbaum. Services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday (July 16, 2013) in Riggle ��" Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Jeff Ginter will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Friends may call on Monday (July 15, 2013) from 5:00 p.m. To 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
