Daniel L. Winters, age 71, of Centerville, died Wednesday morning (January 28, 2009) at Heartland of Eaton. He was born in Richmond on April 10, 1937 to Al and Bessie Mills Winters and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the American Legion. He had worked in sales and as a school bus driver for Centerville Schools. Survivors include his sons - Daniel (Erin) Winters of Knightstown, Jason Winters of Centerville; step-daughter - Vicki (Marc) Robinson of Richmond, step-sons - Curtis Lewis of Richmond, Dean (Connie) Lewis of Boston, Indiana, Dustin Lewis of Richmond; brothers - Roy (Mary) Winters, William (Victoria) Winters, Joseph Winters; sister - Theresa (Dee) Bullock; grandchildren - Caleb, Hannah, Lea, Elaine, Kyle, Stuart, Dustin, AJ, Brittany, Jennifer, Jacob, Jordan, Brandy, Shannon, Sherri, Curtis Jr., Mitchell, Melissa, Matthew, Mallory, Robert "Max"; nieces and nephews and his companion "Princie" His first wife, Helen Winters, second wife, Shelby Winters, step-daughters, Shari Perry, Patricia Ritchie, Terina Rexford, and brothers, Herbert Walter Winters and James Winters are also deceased. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday (January 31, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Friends may call on Friday (January 30, 2009) from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
