Darrell E. Winters, age 71, passed away on Sunday (February 1, 2015) at Methodist hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Richmond on March 27, 1943 to Lawrence "Jimmy" and Pearl "Polly" Winters and had lived in this area most of his life. Darrell had worked as a machinist at Natco, and later at the Ball jar factory in Muncie. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved boating and playing cards. He was also a member of the Eagles. Survivors include his sons Darin (Victoria Duke) Winters and James (Betsy) Winters; long time girlfriend Sonya DeMoss, and her daughter Kimberly "Sissy" DeMoss; brothers Johnny Winters, Danny (Jan) Winters, Larry (Pat) Winters, Benny (Judy) Winters; sisters Alice Fredell and Elsie (Bobby) Turbieville; 7 grandchildren; several great grand children, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Winters. Services for Darrell will be held on Monday (February 9, 2015) at 7 p.m. in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor John C.
