Darren Leo Merritt, age 63, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025 in Indianapolis. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on September 10, 1962 to Arthur Leo and Violet Marie (LaMaster) Merritt and lived in the area most of his life.

In his spare time, Darren enjoyed assembling model cars and traveling, specifically to New Jersey. He also loved Star Trek and had a hand in making costumes for the Star Trek movies. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

Left to cherish his memory is his sister Marilyn Filling; half-siblings, nieces, nephews and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Violet.
