David A. Batchelor, age 64, of Richmond, died Saturday evening (October 23, 2004) at Reid Hospital . He was born in Richmond on May 11, 1940 to Irvin and Frances Myers Batchelor and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a retired employee of Whitewater Valley REMC and he was a US Army veteran. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Moose Lodge. His wife, Diana "Sue B" Batchelor, whom he married on July 6, 1968. died on April 7, 1996.

His parents, a sister, Betty Huzar, and two brothers, Robert and Paul Batchelor are also deceased.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday (October 27, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Brett Karanovich will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Council. Friends may call on Tuesday (October 26, 2004) from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
