David G. Lohmoeller, Sr., age 72, of Richmond, died unexpectedly Thursday morning (October 9, 2008) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 10, 1936 to Al and Mary Agnes Wooten Lohmoeller and had lived here since 1964. Dave worked for Beneficial Finance Company for 28 years and was a retired employee of Wayne Bank and Trust. He was an active member of Saint Andrew Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and as a Lector. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 580 and a former member of the Richmond Noon Kiwanis Club. His first wife, Ruth Lohmoeller, died January 11, 2003. Survivors include his wife �" Linda Slattery Lohmoeller; sons �" David (Cyndi) Lohmoeller of Lafayette, Indiana, Jeff (Anna) Lohmoeller of Centerville and Steve (Deanna) Lohmoeller of Richmond; his father �" Al Lohmoeller of Richmond; brothers �" Fred Lohmoeller of Indpendence, Kentucky and Jim Lohmoeller of Overland Park, Kansas; sister �" Peg Grove of Kettering, Ohio; step-sons �" Stephen (Amiee) Slattery of Dayton, Ohio and Michael Slattery of Richmond; grandchildren �" Thera (Matt) Logston, Trey Lohmoeller, Heather Lohmoeller, Caitlin Lohmoeller, Kory Wilmot, Brandi Riley; great grandson �" Malachi Lohmoeller; nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Monday (October 13, 2008) in Riggle �" Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville. Friends may call on Sunday (October 12, 2008) from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
