David E. Sills, age 68, of Richmond, died Tuesday afternoon (November 22, 2011) at his residence. He was born in Hartford City, Indiana on June 23, 1943 to Uriah Dick and Lena I. Keller Sills. He graduated from Hartford City High School and attended Purdue University. He was a retired employee of Dana Corporation. David was a member of the NRA, Old Trail Rifle and Pistol Club and the Deer Creek Conservation Club. He had been a volunteer with United Way and with Junior Achievement. Survivors include his wife of 46 years - Phyllis Sills; daughter - Stephanie (Dale) Wenzlick of Johnson Creek, Wisconsin; son - Craig Sills of Richmond; grandchildren - Matthew and Rachel Wenzlick; brother - Fred Sills of Hartford City; sister - Joyce Bye of Kokomo. A brother, Sherman Sills, is also deceased. Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday (November 26, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Friends may call on Saturday (November 26, 2011) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
