Deloris E. Wood, age 73, of Richmond, died Saturday morning (January 3, 2004) at Golden Rule - Beverly Healthcare. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on March 8, 1930 to Charles J. and Helen Cristine Smittkamp and had lived in this area since 1948. She was a retired 24 year employee of Rosa's Office Plus and was a member of the First Church of God.
Survivors include - Husband - Donald E. Wood (whom she married July 15, 1950)
Sons - David Wood of Indianapolis
Jeffrey Wood of Monrovia California
Daughter - Donna Jo Ward of Boston, Indiana
Sister - Sharon Fanus of Sun Lake, Arizona
2 Nieces and 1 Nephew
A brother, Charles A. Smittkamp is also deceased.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday (January 6, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Paul Register will officiate. Entombment will be in Earlham Mausoleum. Friends may call on Monday (January 5, 2004) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
