Denver Alexander, age 90, of Richmond, passed away September 25, 2024. Denver grew up in Whitewater and lived there as an adult. He is survived by Jeannette (Jan) his second wife of 25 years. Denver is also survived by his two sons, Michael Denver (Marilu) and Todd Elwood (Diane) and also children Winni Jayne Gaydorus (Grant) and Jay Watkins (Tammy); grandchildren Denver Alexander (Lizz), Austen Alexander (Mary Fleenor), Ross Alexander (Christy Rollinson), Sarah Kimbrough (Brad), Beth Peterson (Tommy), Aaron Emery (Sarah), Hannah Whittredge (Jake), Beth Koslow and Lara Kemp; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Crystal and stepmother Mary, three siblings, Alice Marie, his first wife of 45 years and his daughter Teresa Gail Emery (surviving husband Larry).
Denver served in the Marine Corps, was a Dairy Farmer, school bus driver for Northeastern Schools and worked as a Tool and Die man throughout his life. In his younger years volunteered as Little league coach and 4-H advisor. He always wanted to help kids any way he could. Denver enjoyed spending time with his family, working and raising quarter horses and raising livestock on the farm. He was always proud of his children, his grandchildren (9) and his great grandchildren (12). Denver enjoyed many days during retirement fishing at the Richmond Reservoir with friends. He also attended the Middleboro United Methodist Church.
Pastor Steve Matthews will officiate services at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday September 28, 2024 at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Burial will immediately follow in Goshen cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11am-1pm prior to the service on Saturday, at the funeral home.
