Denver M. Brumfield, age 87, of Richmond, died Sunday afternoon (June 7, 2009) at Forest Park Health Campus. He was born in Richmond on October 26, 1921 to Russell and Mary Ellen Tschaen Brumfield and had lived here all of his life. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and had worked at Avco and MEG Manufacturing and was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife of 64 years - Carolyn Brumfield; daughters - Evelyn (Robby) Bane of Centerville, Carolyn Jo Brumfield of Richmond; sons - Denver (Linda) Brumfield Jr of Richmond, Mark (Patricia) Brumfield of Whitewater; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. A son, David Lee Brumfield, a great grandson and great granddaughter are also deceased. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday (June 10, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Jerald Mielke will officiate. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday (June 10, 2009) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
