Dexter Mills, Sr., age 75, of Richmond, died Saturday afternoon (September 12, 2009) at Golden Living Center - Golden Rule. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on April 4, 1934 to Willie and Rhoda Smith Mills and had lived here since 1952. Dexter was a retired employee of the former Kemper Cabinet Company. His wife, Mary Mills, died on February 27, 2003. Survivors include his children - Mike Mills of Eaton, Ohio, Jo Silvia of Richmond, Dexter Mills Jr. of Richmond, Tina Marshall of Richmond; his twin brother - Baxter Mills of Richmond; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Judy Garcia, three brothers - Warden, Walter and Bobby Mills, and three sisters - Gladys Brock, Sudah Mills and Devoda Mills are also deceased. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday (September 17, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Ray McCrary will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
