Diana M. Charles, age 74, of Richmond, died Wednesday morning (February 16, 2011) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond on January 15, 1937 to Samuel and Wyvonna Ruby Michael and had lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of the Ivy Tech nursing program and was a retired registered nurse at Henry County Hospital. She had also worked for Richmond State Hospital and as a visiting nurse. Her husband, Norman Charles, is deceased. Survivors include her sons - Sonny (Linda) Necessary of Oklahoma, Tom (Darlene) Necessary of Iowa; sisters - Linda (Clair) Awong of Hawaii, Esther (Gordan) Mack of Centerville, brothers - Roland (Sarah) Michael of Richmond, Phillip Michael of Boston, Indiana, Stephen (Debbie) Michael of Richmond; grandchildren - Jamie Wright, Rikki Paridy, Anthony Necessary, Deborah Erin Necessary, Megan Wyvonna Necessary; great grandchildren - Kennedy Beaty, Lilly Paridy, Sheridan Burrill; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, a daughter - Deborah Wright, brother Ben Michael, and grandson-in-law - David Paridy, are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday (February 23, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery.
