Donald E. Forshey, age 68, who resided in Boston, Indiana, died Wednesday morning (June 11, 2014) at his residence. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on March 24, 1946 to Samuel T. and Esther Allen Forshey and had lived in this area most of his life. He had worked for Coca-Cola and as a driver in the produce business. He served in the US Army and was a member of Oak Park Church where he served as a bus driver for over 35 years. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Edith Forshey; children, William (Sherry) Forshey of Ohio, Johnny (Terry) Forshey of Spiceland, Indiana, Marcella (Tony) Walker of Greenfield, Indiana, Melody (Mike) Christinsen of California, Donna (Jason) Deaton of Richmond, Mike Forshey of Richmond, Tarah Forshey of Richmond; brother, Robert Forshey of Parkersburg, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Forshey of Parkersburg, West Virginia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, a son, Mark Forshey, a brother, Carroll Forshey, and sister, Belle Otis, are also deceased. My father, now that you are gone you will never be forgotten, you are my best friend and mentor, someone that I could always talk to about my problems and life itself. You will be deeply missed Daddy - your son, John Boy. I love you too Daddy - Love Rickster. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday (June 16, 2014) at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Park Church (1920 Chester Blvd.). Pastor Kevin Arthur will officiate. Burial will be in Boston Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Friends may call on Monday (June 16, 2014) from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
