Donald Eugene Ropp, age 71, passed away on March 17, 2022, at Reid Hospital after a short illness. He was born October 27, 1950, to Kitchel and Betty (Freeman) Ropp in Richmond, IN.
He was enjoying his retirement from the Indiana state highway Dept. after 34 years. He never knew a stranger and was known and loved by many. He loved to fish and spending time at the reservoir. He volunteered for many years at the Boys and Girls Club, Gateway Hunger Relief Center and Circle U.
He is survived by his son Bradley (Connie) Ropp; stepson Todd (Heather) Barker; nephews Shawn (Billie) Ropp & Daniel (Ashley) Gilreath; brother-in-law James Gilreath; great aunt Mary Ropp; cousins; many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; ex-wife Nora Turner and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother Margarey Ropp; sister Sharon Gilreath; infant son who passed at the age of 3 months old Donald Jr.; ex wives Rhonda Lisinby and Mary Ropp.
Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary is handling the arrangements. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Donald's name to Gateway Hunger Relief Center or Circle U.
