Donna Golbar, age 75, passed away on Tuesday (August 12, 2014) at Reid Hospital in Richmond. She was born in Tarrentum, Pennsylvania on May 19th, 1939 to Louis and Florence Ludwig and had lived in this area most of her life. Donna retired from Alcoa, where she worked for 43 years and played an active role in the union there. She had also authored a cookbook and was known for her shepherd's pie. Donna also enjoyed arts and crafts, particularly quilting and ceramic work. Survivors include daughters Kristy Armstrong of Charlestown, Rhode Island, Kerry (Mike) Moore of Centerville; Sons Tom Taylor of Centerville, and David Saylor of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Sisters Meredith Smith and Cathy Zimmer; Special Niece Elaine Hartman; Special friend Marilyn Bucher, Daughter in law Melissa Reynolds; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, a son Mike Saylor of Texas and a brother Dick Ludwig are also deceased. A memorial service for Donna will be held on Friday (August 15th, 2014) at 5 p.m. in Riggle �" Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Paul Mingus will officiate. www.riggle-waltermann.com
