Doris L. Owens, age 92, of Richmond, died Friday evening (January 21, 2011) at Forest Park Health Campus. She was born in Wayne County, Indiana on April 23, 1918 to Lester and Virgil Hodgin Wright and had lived her all of her life. She was a graduate of Webster High School and of Ball State University. She was a retired elementary school teacher for Northeastern Wayne Schools. Doris was a member of First Christian Church and of the Christian Women's Fellowship. She enjoyed participating in various art and retired teacher activities. Her husband, Marion Owens, died in 1963. Survivors include her daughter - Janet (Bill) Vance of Seymour, Indiana; son - Larry (Charlotte) Owens of Whitestown, Indiana; sister - Madge Fosdick of New Paris, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, a brother, Robert Wright, is also deceased. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday (January 25, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev.
