Doris E. Wagner, age 94, of Richmond, passed away on Wednesday (July 2, 2025) at Forest Park Health Campus. She was born in Richmond on April 20, 1931 and had lived here all of her life. She was a 1949 graduate of Richmond High School. After graduation, she worked for several years as a legal secretary and then worked for Cigna Insurance Company where she served for 35 years. At Cigna, she held many different positions including secretary and cashier and it was here that she met and made many life long friends
After retirement she was a volunteer at Reid Hospital where she acquired over 6000 hours of service. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and for Golden Rule Nursing Home where she helped the VFW Auxiliary assist the residents play bingo . She liked this very much as she always liked to help other people.
She is a past member of Loyal Chapter #49 O.E.S. where she held several offices. Doris enjoyed playing sports, working crossword puzzles, knitting dish rags. reading, and was an avid bingo and card player. She was a member of First Christian Church.
