Douglas Keeton, 79, of Richmond, left us unexpectedly on December 17, 2025. Born on September 28, 1946, in Robbins, Tennessee, he was the son of Paul Edison and Mary Angelina (Branum) Keeton. Doug was a dedicated carpenter and a proud member of Laborer's Local #1047.
Known for his straightforward personality, Doug lived his life on his own terms and never held back on how he felt. His honesty made him a beloved friend to many. Doug was deeply loved by his family and friends, who will miss him dearly.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Chris, Greg, Darice, Dawn and Jessica; sister Paulette; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his good friend Larry Bryant. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Alice, son Mark, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary on Tuesday December 23, 2025 at 2:00pm. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made in Doug's name to Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary in care of the Douglas Keeton funeral fund.
