Earl J. Sharp, Jr., age 83, of Richmond, died Wednesday morning (May 10, 2006) at Golden Rule-Beverly Healthcare.� He was born in Hopwood, PA� on July 21, 1922 to Earl J. and Gladys Miner Sharp and had lived in this area since 1956.� He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and a retired employee of Westvaco Paper Company.� Earl was an active 50 year member of First Christian Chruch where he served as a Sunday School teacher and in numerour leadership positions.� He was also a dedicated member of the Richmond Y's Men's Club and of the Golden K Kivanis Club.� Earl attended Yokefellow and was a past president and served for many years as a member of the Richmond Park Board.
Survivors include his wife - Ruth Sharp, whom he married June 4, 1946; Daughter - Sue (Warren) Reisner of Richmond; Son - Phil (Beth) Sharp of Davie, Florida; Sisters - Gwendolyn Shaffer of Port Orange, Florida and Janice Fosbrink of Columbia, Maryland; Grandchildren - Alan Reisner of Altlanta, Georgia, Steve Reisner of Richmond, Stephanie Sharp, Julia Sharp and Scott Sharp all of Davie, Florida; Great Grandson - Noah Reisner of Richmonnd; Nieces & Nephews.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday (May 13, 2006) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.� Rev. Bruce Naylor will officiate.� Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.� Friends may call on Friday (May 12, 2006 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.� Memorial contributions may be made to Frist Christian Church, 100 South 10th St. Richmond, IN� 47374.�
