Obituary

Edward O. Hoffman, age 68, of Richmond, died Friday evening (December 4, 2009) at Saint Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 27, 1941 to Elmer E. and Kathryn J. Firth Hoffman and had lived here most of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and had worked for Kemper Cabinet Co (Masterbrand). He had also worked for Graham Cleaners, NAPA Auto Supply and Meals on Wheels. Ed was an active 20 year volunteer and board member for WCTV Community Television where he also produced the programs "Young at Heart" and "Main Street Opinions". He was a jolly person and friend to all he met. He was a member of Gospel Baptist Church (New Paris) Survivors include his wife of nine years - Carolyn Hoffman; sons - Scott E. Hoffman of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Robert M. Hoffman of Columbus, Ohio; brother-in-law Dr. Kenneth (Paula) Weitemier of Boise, Idaho; nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 4:30 pm on Tuesday (December 8, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Gilmer Smith and Don West will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday (December 8, 2009) from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the funeral home. www.riggle-waltermann.com
