Elizabeth E. Duke, age 98, of Richmond, died Tuesday evening (October 3, 2006) at the Americare Living Center in Winchester. She was born in Richmond on June 2, 1908 to Herbert and Harriet Snyder Jay and had lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of Webster High School and she was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church, the Order of Eastern Star, the Social Order of the Beaucent and the White Shrine. Her husband, Edgar Duke, died on July 28, 1998. Survivors include her son - Gene Duke of Bryant, Indiana; 4grandchildren Debby McCoy of Winchester, Libby Hirschy of Peoria, Ill, Donald Matchett of Winchester, Jacki Loy of Crawfordsville; 7 Great Grandchildren. A daughter, Virginia M. Duke, and a granddaughter, Linda Miller, are also deceased. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday (October 7, 2006) in Webster Cemetery.
