Ella A. Brewer, age 98, of Richmond, died Thursday morning (September 13, 2007) at Arbor Trace.� She was born in Wayne County on January 7, 1909 to William and Ella Bailey Hawkins and had lived here all of her life.� She was a retired long-time employee of the Earlham School of Religion house keeping department where she was affectionately known as "mother superior". She was a member of Bethel AME Church.

Survivors include her sons - Arvie Brewer of Richmond and Marvin Brewer of Richmond;� grandchildren - Michelle Brewer Cheatem of Baltimore, Maryland, Micah Brewer of Terre Haute, Indiana and Paul Brewer of Richmond; great granddaughters - Ella Ashely Brewer and Elizabeth Jane Brewer.�



A�son, Paul Brewer, died in 1969.

A memorial service will be held�on Sunday (October 21, 2007) at 3:00 pm in First Friends�Meeting, 2010 Chester Blvd. Richmond.� Keith Esch and Tom Mullen will officiate.� Arrangements are being handled by Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary
