Elmo Hunt, age 77, passed away on Sunday (October 12, 2014) at his home with his family by his side. He was born on June 18, 1937 in Elizabethton, Kentucky to Elmer and Mary Hunt, and had lived here most of his life. He had worked at Target Champion as maintenance man. Elmo loved spending time with his family, and also enjoyed time with his dog. He liked watching TV, particularly pro wrestling and gunsmoke. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Betty Hunt; Son Allen Hunt; Daughters Phyllis Hunt, Sandra Couch, Georgia Tull; Stepchildren Walter Toney, Franky (Marilyn) Gray, Mary Allen, and Freda; Sisters Jenny Moore, Ruby (John) Bechtel, Barbara (Bobby) Fields, Joyce (Archie) Mullins, Zena (Jake) Johnson, Evelyn Polly; Brother Gerald (Joyce) Hunt; ex wife Aggie Toney; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sons Buddy and Sonny Hunt and daughter Vickie Gray. Services for Elmo will be held on Wednesday (October 15, 2014) at 1 p.m. in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Harold Young will officiate. Burial will follow in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
