Emery B. Smith, age 82, of Richmond, died Sunday afternoon (December 4, 2011) at his residence. He was born in Cincinnati on March 27, 1929 to Robert and Bessie Neely Smith and had lived in Richmond since 1961. He had worked as a machinist for Cincinnati Machinery and for the former Wayne Works. Survivors include his wife of 60 years - Margaret Smith; children - Dorcas White of Richmond, Dennis Ray (Kathy) Smith of Pershing, Michael David Smith of Richmond, Brenda Kay (Barry) Sullivan of Richmond, Emery Wayne Smith of Richmond, Angela Minor of Richmond, Lloyd William (Daniella) Smith of Amelia, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two brothers and two sisters are also deceased. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday (December 7, 2011) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Ron Wolf will officiate.
