Esther Ellen Drew, age 76, of Richmond passed away Saturday (February 18, 2017) surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born November 29, 1940 to Dwight and Evelyn Koch Weevie. Esther died after battling with a long illness, she was a loving mother, grandmother and housewife. She loved watching and taking care of her grandkids and great grandkids. She was like a mother to anyone that came into her home, she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children Pam (Paule) Walton, Maurice (Junior) Drew, Tammy Drew, Chrissy (Earl) Miller, Robin Leffel, Daniel Nicholson and Robert (Tonya) Nicholson; special nephew Dale (Shawna) Bass; special niece Eva (Barin) Raber; special son Mark Johnson; special niece Robbie Wells; grandchildren Tommy, Daniel, Micheal, Lisa, Jennifer, Kristal, Neal, Jacob, Cliff, Earl, Amber, Thomas, Stephanie, Shawn, Zac, John, Connie, Robert Jr., and Stetson; 21 great grandkids; siblings Eva Butler, Russell Weevie, Judy Toney, Rhonda Dickey and Linda Kolk. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Lowel Weevie and a sister Dawn Bass.
Services for Esther will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday (February 23, 2017) at Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Jim Slaven will officiate. Burial will follow in Brownsville United Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday (February 23, 2017) from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary in care of the Esther Drew funeral fund to help with funeral expenses.
