Evelyn J. Phenis, age 92, formerly of Richmond, died Wednesday evening (February 27, 2013) at Saint Francis Hospital in Escanaba, Michigan. She was born in Richmond on November 8, 1920 to Lester and Elsie Yoder Phenis and had lived in Michigan for the past 11 years. Her husband, Francis Phenis, died March 31, 1992. Survivors include her children, Rose Beauchamp, Larry Phenis, Gloria Tew; brothers, Ron Phenis and Arthur Phenis; sister, Marquita Alvey; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, a son, Bernard Phenis, is also deceased Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday (March 6, 2013) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev.
