Jacqueline "Jackie" Holthouse Gainey Christensen, age 97 of Richmond, passed away on June 8, 2024 at Friends Fellowship where she resided the past 21 years. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on October 29, 1926 to Siegfried J. and Helen (Pfeiffer) Holthouse.

She was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish-Holy Family Catholic Church and spent most of her working years in the retail furniture business of Holthouse Furniture (a family-owned chain).

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter (Pam Helsley); an infant son (Gregory) and two brothers (Bud Holthouse and David Holthouse). Survivors include 3 children: Carole Godwin of Richmond, Indiana; Robert Gainey Jr. of Hagerstown, Indiana and Jeffrey (Loretta) Gainey of Muncie, Indiana; one sister Sharon (Paul) Malone of Asheville, North Carolina; also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren.

A public Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 2pm on Tuesday June 11, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Sengole Gnanaraj officiating, burial will immediately follow in St. Andrew Cemetery.
