Faye K. Petty, age 83, of Richmond, died Saturday morning (April 6, 2013) at Ambassador Healthcare. She was born in Wayne County on February 26, 1930 to Homer and Florence Freeman Coleman and had lived here all of her life. She was a graduate of the former Whitewater High School and was a retired employee of Stride Rite Corporation. Faye loved to dance. She followed the Cincinnati Reds and was an avid Purdue fan. She enjoyed flower gardening and country music. She is survived by her husband, Ron Petty; her daughters, Peggy (Greg) LaRosa, Nancy (Bob) Fessler, Becky (Tom) Tegeler, Anna (Dave) Stubeda, Rachel (Eddie Hayes) Miller, Mary Beth (Darrell) Skinner all of Richmond and Jenny (Jeff) Allen of Fairhaven, Ohio; stepchildren, Sherry Davis and Doug Petty of Liberty; brothers, Ronald (Virginia) Coleman of Richmond, James (Mary) Coleman of Kentucky; sisters, Juanita Summers of Richmond, Janet (Jerry) Hill of Ohio; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, a brother, Leland Coleman, and step-son, Gary Petty, are also deceased. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nursing staff on Lilac Lane at Ambassador Healthcare and to Embrace Hospice for the care and concern shown to all.
