Florence I. Deimling, age 99, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2013 at Arbor Trace. She was born on August 6, 1913 in Pontiac, Michigan. She was the daughter of Claude and Pearl Garvey who both preceded her in death. She was married on June 16, 1934 to Joseph Deimling who also preceded her in death. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Walled Lake, Michigan and attended First Baptist Church in Richmond after moving here. She was a Sunday school teacher and active in the women's missionary society at First Baptist in Walled Lake. She retired as a secretary at Walled Lake Schools. Florence enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. Through the years, she made many quilts for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Carol (Clyde) Black; Josephn Deimling, Mary Deimling, Margaret (Jim) Briggs, James (Jenny) Deimling, Ruth (Thomas) Williamson and Paul (Karen) Deimling; her sister, Thelma Noll; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Caroline Marie Muzik; brothers Robert, Frank William and Claude Garvey; grandchildren, Jennifer and Jonathan Black; daughter-in-law, Janet Deimling. Visitation will be on Friday (February 22, 2013) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Lynch and Sons Funeral Home in Walled Lake Michigan (340 Pontiac Trail). Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Walled Lake.
