Obituary

Forrest Max Hood, age 90, of Richmond, died Monday evening (December 12, 2016) at Golden Living Center – Golden Rule. He was born on September 25, 1926 in New Castle, Indiana to Quincy and Lillian Edith Fadley Hood and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and had worked in construction as a bricklayer. He was a life member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Patricia; son Gary (Linda) Hood; daughter Pam (David) Layman; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; nieces and a nephew. In addition to his parents, three brothers, Walter, Joseph and Harold are also deceased.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday (December 16, 2016) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. David Layman will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (December 16, 2016) from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
