Frances V. Barga, age 87, of Richmond, died Thursday afternoon (July 16, 2009) at Rose Gate Village. She was born in Marion County, Iowa on March 16, 1922 to John and Mary Schneider Conrad and had lived in Richmond since 1979 moving here from Union City. She was the retired manger of Medical Records at Reid Hospital and was a member of Saint Andrew Church. She had been a member of the former Saint Anne Altar Society and was a founder of the Richmond and Union City Chapters of the Sweet Adelines. Frances served the Richmond Area Rose Festival as Senior Rose Queen in 1989. She was also active in Richmond Civic Theatre and the National Road Tent Show. Her husband, Reed Barga, died July 28, 2002. Survivors include her daughters - Susan M. (Mike) McGregor of Fishers, Indiana, Mary F. Stall of Zionsville; sisters - Marguerite Conklin of Union City, Genevieve Schoelein of Perrysburg, Ohio; brother - Alfred Conrad of Harper, Iowa; daughter-in-law - Patty Barga of Indianapolis; 3 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two sons, Anthony G. Barga and Thomas R. Barga, 3 sisters and 4 brothers are also deceased. A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday (July 21, 2009) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church (Richmond) Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery in Union City, Indiana. Friends may call on Monday (July 20, 2009) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary.
