Franklin E. DeVito, age 63, of Richmond, died Sunday (February 15, 2004) at the Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis. He was born in Richmond on May 18, 1940 to Michael and Mary Senese DeVito and had lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and was a retired employee of the Richmond Fire Department where he had served 26 years as a professional firefighter. He was a member of Saint Mary Church and a member of Richmond Professional Firefighters Local 1408.
Survivors include - Wife - B. Jane DeVito to whom he was married 44 years
Daughter - Teresa DeVito of Richmond
Sons - Vincent DeVito of Richmond
Anthony (wife Sharon) DeVito of Richmond
Brother - Mick DeVito of Richmond
Grandchildren - Devin DeVito, Nichole DeVito and Christopher Swallow
Great Grandson - Dylan Swallow
A son, Steven E. DeVito died on March 7, 1997.
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday (February 20, 2004) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Mary Church Burial will be in Saint Mary Cemetery.
