Obituary

Fred Moore, age 81, of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning (February 27, 2012) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Bond, Kentucky on March 13, 1930 to Lee and Mary King Moore and had lived most of his adult life in the Richmond area. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War where he served in the Airborne Rangers. He was a retired 43 year employee of Johns-Manville. Fred loved to hunt and fish and was fond of participating in fishing tournaments. He was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife - Brenda Moore; sisters - Thelma Lakes and Zola Hawkins, both of Economy; nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday (March 2, 2012) in Lighthouse Assembly of God (2339 West Cart Road). Pastor Ralph Holdeman will officiate. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Honor Guard. Friends may call on Friday (March 2, 2012) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
