G. Fred Powers, age 68, of Richmond and Hamilton Lake, Indiana, died Thursday (August 17, 2006). He was born on July 10, 1938 to G. Fred and J. Edith Duff Powers. He was a graduate of Florida State Univeristy in Tallahassee, Fla. and was a 50 year member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a Certified Financial Planner for Ameriprise Financial (formerly American Express) Survivors include his wife Billie Bullerdick Powers, whom he married March 24, 2006 in St. George Island,. Florida. Daughters Sandra Elizabeth "Beth" Macke and husband Jon of Newnan, Georgia, Lynn Kinsey and husband Chris of Lake Worth, Florida;� son G. Fred Powers, III amd wife Marta of Newnan, Georgia; Step-daughters Kristin Hinshaw and husband Bob of Northville, Michigan, Karissa Jagacki and husband Jeff of South Lyon, Michigan; step-mother Mary E. Powers of Richmond; sister Sara Johnson of Richmond; brother John D. Powers of Liberty; Four grandchildren Fredi and Sydni Kinsey and Brad and Jay Macke; four step-grandchildren Sarah and Thomas Hinshaw and Adam and Grand Jagacki. He was preceded in death by his first wife - Patty M. Powers, his parents and a step-son - Ryan Bullerdick. In his professional life with Ameriprise Financial, Mr. Powers received the Ameriprise Diamond Ring award for 26 years of exceptional advisory service and was the 13th inductee to the Ameriprise Financial Hall of Fame.� He also served on the President's Advisory Council as one of the top 100 advisors in the United States from 1993 - 2006 consecutively. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday (August 19, 2006) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Robert F. Wyrick, cousin of the deceased, and Rev. John Walker will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday (August 18, 2006) at the funeral home.
