George Steven "Steve" Jacob, age 86, of Richmond, died Thursday evening (February 11, 2010) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on November 8, 1923 to Frank and Velma Kovach Jacob and had lived here all of his life. Steve was a US Navy veteran of World War II and was a retired 33 year employee of the Indiana American Water Company. Survivors include his wife of 62 years - Gloria Jacob; sons - Bob (Julie) Jacob, Rick (Char) Jacob, Bill (Gail) Jacob, Jim Jacob and Mark Jacob; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters and 1 grandson Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday (February 15, 2010) in Riggle - Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. John Hollis will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday (February 15, 2010) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
